About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Hello.

I am studying in Tianjin and my residence permit expires by the end of next month. Nevertheless, I would like to travel for a few weeks after the permit has expired (plus some friends will come). How can I get a tourist visa? Is there any other option available?

Thanks.

You can apply for a tourist visa at the Exit & Enter Department under the Tianjin Public Security Bureau one week before the expiration of your residence permit. Generally speaking, the L visa obtained within China is only valid for 30 days or less.
