Hi,i am planning to go to Haikou sometime in September/October alone. Hoping to stay near the beaches to do some swimming and sun tanning etc. Is that a good period to be there? Are there lots of night spots  for drinks at night

You'd better be in Haikou before China National Day (Oct. 1st) as it's a peak season for tourism all over the country,including Hainan.And there's hotel in Haikou near beach, where you can swim and join in night activity.
