I am thinking of touring China (Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Yangshuo, Guilin, Longsheng, Longshi, Hong Kong.) in September, but am worried about the flooding. Should I go in October instead?

If you really worry about the flooding, then go there in October when the rainy season will be over. But I think it's OK for cities like Beijing and Xian in September.
