About:Embassy & Consulates of Philippines in China

hi there! i'm an ESL teacher based here in Harbin City. my Phil. passport will expire April 2011. is there an e passport now in shanghai? can i do the renewal much earlier than the expiry date? i plan to go to shanghai this August. how long will it take to process renewal and how much will it cost? thanks!

Ms.maybelle, The Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai advises the public that starting Monday, 15 June 2009, it will accept and process applications for the Machine Readable Passports (MRPs).

Processing of MRP applications will take six (6) weeks.

Pay passport fee of RMB 500.00
