About:Tipping in China

My family planned to visit China on September 2010. My concern is that, do I have to pay tips every time to buy somthing and eat?

I don't do it in Chinese style places. It is a western custome and I only do it when eating in a western restaurant or check in a star level hotel.

I'm Chinese. So you can totally trust me, Chinese don't pay tips in China. That's also why I'm a stingy tipper in the U.S.:)
