yes, you have to go to Brasilia to apply for China visa because Rio Grande do Sul is under the consular jurisdiction of China embassy in Brasilia.

At your site, in Brazil, is missing the information about where do I have to go to get my visa.

Rio Grande do Sul is listed, at a table, connected to Brasilia. Do I have to spend USD 800.00 to go to Brasilia do get the visa which I also have to pay?

They have a phone number, but I would't like to make a long distance call to know that.

By the way, do you check this site everyonce in a while? Can you please answer to me?

I was invited to give a talk in Changqing. It is a honor!

Mrs.Lucia, if you don't want to go to Brasilia to submit visa application, you can send your visa application by post to a visa agency/travel agency in Brasilia which can apply for China visa on your behalf, but you need to send all requirements to it.

As for the telephone, you'd better call it during its office hours, but the phone is always busy or nobody picks it up.
