About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Do I still need to renew my passport if I will be applying for a visa? It's gonna expire on October 2010, but I'm gonna attend a conference on August 1-8. Renewal of passports take 2weeks as the fastest. Can we not have any exceptions since I'll just be staying there for a week. Thanks!

Ms.BlairReid, you have to renew your passport before China visa application, the original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity is required for visa application.
