About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hi, I'd like to get a 6 month re-entry travel visa for China. I'm finishing my job in Hiroshima, Japan, so I will return to being a resident of Canada when I leave for vacation in Hong Kong and China. Can I mail the application for a visa to the Osaka consulate? Or, do I have to go in person?

You need to submit your application in person. Besides, if you are a visitor in Japan or don’t have an alien card, then copy your Japanese Landing Permission Seal (small and yellow one).

Thanks for your quick response! I will be handing in my Alien Registration when I leave Japan. I don't think I have a yellow seal. Does that make any difference? Thanks.
