someone mentioned you can camp to watch the sunrise... do you just enter the park and camp where you like or are there campsites? any other info on camping around taishan would be really appreciated thanks!

There is no special compsites for visitors because generally camping ouside is not allowed, but many travelers have the experience to camp outside and the youth hostel in the mountain rent tents. There are travelers waiting on the Taishan peak to waiting for the sunrise so there must be someone stay overnight outside in the peak. So, my suggestion is do not camping alone and find a safe place, for example camping next to a temple or something. It is 10 degrees colder on the mountain peak. Good Luck~
