You can visit Hong Kong when your visa duration in Guangzhou, China is over. The visa issued for Guangzhou is only for China & not for Hong Kong. On reaching Hong Kong you will get a 7 days visa which you can extend if required. Then you can catch a flight from Hong Kong to Malaysia.

You don't need a visa or permit for Hong Kong since Malaysian can enter Hong Kong pursuant to the Visa Waiver Program.

With the single entry visa to the Mainland you can't come back to the Mainland.
