About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

*Now, if you want to get the China visa from China embassy in South Korea, you should hold the alien registration valid for at least 6 months.*

Surely this doesn't apply to those seeking Z visas?

This rule applies to China visa applicants who are not koreans. The alien registration valid for at least 6 months can prove that you can live in South Korea legally for 6 months or longer, you don't have time to apply for China in your own country.

I don't need to live in Korea for 6 more months. My contract is over- done, finished in August. I then have a job at an international school in China. I won't be coming back to Korea.
