About:Mount Emei

We will be going to Hangzhou in November'10 and will be spending about 3 days in Shanghai. At this point, we are not sure whether we will be travelling to Mt.Emei from Hanghzou or Shanghai. In total we will be spending 10 days in China and haven't planned on which places to visit in & around Hangzhou. I am just wondering if anyone could provide me the answers to my below questions.

1. How far is Mt.Emei from Hangzhou, Shanghai?
2. Cheaper and safer way to get there from Hangzhou, Shanghai?
3. How long is worth spending at Mt.Emei?

It will take more than 32 hours by train from Hangzhou to Chengdu, further from Shanghai. From Chengdu you can get regular buses at Xinnanmen Bus Station to Emeishan. If you do not want to spend such a long time on the train, you can travel by airplane. If you want to see a mountain resort, I think Huangshan is better. It is only 4 hours bus ride from Hangzhou. Shanghai also have direct bus to Mt.Huangshan.
