About:Hong Kong Trains - High Speed Rail

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a train that goes from hong kong to Xi'an and then to beijing? or the other way around ( eg beijing to xi'an and back to hong kong)?

Thanks

Sarah

There is no train from Hong Kong to Xian, but to Beijing every two days. Then, from Beijing to Xian, there are convenient express trains and flights for your choice.

Hi Sarah, there seems no direct train from Hong Kong to Xian, you can only go to Guangzhou from Hong Kong and then Xian, or go to Beijing then Xian. When going back to Hong Kong, you should also go to Beijing or Guangzhou first and then to Hong Kong.

Thankyou very much for your help. it can be hard deciphering all the rail timetables!

are the flights from hong kong to beijing expensive? The cheapest I coulod find was about $700 return. I am wondering if it would be cheaper to buy when i got to Honk Kong (but speak no chinese so also concerned it would be too hard to communicate).
