About:Embassy & Consulates of Philippines in China

I'm from the Philippines and wish to go on a trip to China by an invitation by my sister, should the invitation letter be authenticated by the Phil. Embassy in Beijing? What if she lived in Shanghai, will the Consulate General's office in Shanghai can do the authentication process? Please advise. Thank you.
