I will be arriving Hangzhou on the 11th Aug and will be checking in to West Lake Hotel.I would like to find out, is there any shuttle service to the west lake hotel or if i were to take teksi to the hotel, how much would it cost.

You can take Airport Shuttle Bus to Hangzhou Railway Station and then take taxi to your hotel, which costs about CNY10.The shuttle bus costs CNY20. If you take taxi from airport to your hotel, it would cost CNY100 to reach the destination.
