About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

I am traveling to Singapore from Seoul, South Korea thru Beijing. I have a 12 hour layover in Beijing and would like to enter China to shop and do some sightseeing. Do I need a Visa to exit the airport during my short stay in Beijing?

Thank you for the information. Do I need a visa to stay at the Hotel Style Rooms inside the Beijing Capital International Airport? Are the hotel rooms accessible from where the transient passengers are restricted?

Mr.Kendricks, generally speaking, passengers are limited within airport transit area, if you stay at the Hotel Styles Rooms, in principal, you need a transit visa, however, sometimes, the rule is not very strict.
