Oh, so many questions here. See whether I can help you. Badaling is the most popular section among the tourists and need half day visit generally. Well, I strongly recommend you to visit the Mutianyu section, which is also very famous and less crowded than Badaling. Morever, you can apply for the tourist visa at the Chinese consulate or embassey in your country.
