Music instrument stores are at Jinling Dong Lu. There are also some on Fengyang Lu near the Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
Jin Ling Road near ( west of ) He Nan road. There are lots of stores there selling different instruments so you sort of have to browse in all of them.
Fen yang Rd I think is more suited to classical western instruments like pianos, violins0
