About:Zhengzhou Travel

Hi,

I'm moving to Zhengzhou in september to work for at least a year. I've been to China before but not this region/city. It seems there are very few foreigners living there and that English is not spoken by many people. Does anyone have any tips about which areas are nice to live in, where to take yoga classes, international supermarkets, cafs etc.?
Are there any pretty or charming areas in the city or is it a generic, middlesize Chines city?
Any information will be appreciated, thanks.

It is a generic, middlesize Chinese city. There are few foreigners living there. As you are going to work in this city, you'd better try to adapt to its culture. Try to get some guides from your colleagues and try to learn Chinese so that you can have a better communication withthe local people.

Hi,I'm chinese and I live in Zhengzhou, my English is not good enough but I will try to provide you with some information about living here.
Well,I think it would be nice for you if you live in the eastern or north-eastern part of the city, and it seems that the development in these parts are better than the western part. There are international supermarkets such as Walmart from the US and Carrefour from France.I can't describe the address correctly in English(sorry)but you can search them on Google Map.
As Chinese people don't usually drink coffee, there aren't many cafes here. But you can find Cafes on East Jinshui Road,North Chengdong Road, etc. You can also use Google to help you.To remind you of:the coffee and other western food may taste different from that in your country,so you'd better learn to use chopsticks and get used to Chinese food.
I don't know if there are any charming areas in Zhengzhou, because different people have different thoughts. In fact, Zhengzhou has a history of more than 3600 years. But there aren't any oid temples or other houses here.Instead, this city is full of modern buildings.Oh,Shaolin temple is not far from the the urban area of Zhengzhou.
That's all the information in English I have now.
Hope you can understand it.
