About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hello, am working here in China. I will be inviting my wife and children to be with me. My school asked me to provide the Birth certificate and marriage contract, AUTHENTICATED by the Chinese Embassy in Philippines. My question is can i ask someone or an agent to do this because my family is in Palawan? Please help me to know if there is a need of appearance in the embassy of my Children and Wife? Appicants should come in person, but for case of representation, an authorized paper is needed
