About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Hey guys, just a quickie really, I intend on flying into China from Korea and then taking the ferry back, is this acceptable, does it matter what your mode of return is or must it be a flight?
Also, are all Chinese visa applications done through the travel agencies or can I go direct to the embassy?
Thanks a million guys
Caoimhin

Not really there must be a flight. I used to appy for one with steamer tickets. Generally, applicants should go to Chinese Embassy in person. So, Good luck.
