To provide a better service for visa applicants, the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta and the Consulate General in Surabaya, drawing on the practice of some other countries, decided to introduce a Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC). CVASC is responsible for receiving visa applications for visit to mainland China from ordinary passport holders who are Indonesian citizens and eligible citizens of other countries, collecting visa fees on behalf of the Chinese Embassy and the Consulate General and returning processed visa applications.
