About:China Visa Application Requirements

Hello, I am trying to apply for a standard 3 month single entry visa however the embassy has requested hotel reservations for my entire stay in China, is this correct. I have never been to China before and have no criminal record or refusal of entry for any country.I feel it will be impossible to book all these in advance as it allows no flexabiliy.
Please tell me if this is right or I am miss understanding.

Mrs.Andersen, I understand your feeling, however, if you want to get the single-entry China visa, you have to provide the hotel reservations for your whole trip in China. We can't bargain with the consular officer of the embassy, Whether a visa is to be issued or not, and what type of visa to be issued shall be decided by Consular officers in the light of China's relevant laws and regulations. Application may be refused without detailed explanation. If you don't provide it, your application will be denied.

(Consular officers may request an applicant to provide additional supporting documents. The applicant should provide this as soon as possible.)
