Hello!
I will be travelling to Luoyang this Friday evening, arrival on Saturday morning. My plan is to go to the Longmen Grottoes with a taxi, and from there take another taxi to Dengfeng where I will spend the night.
On Sunday, I plan on going to the Shaolin temple at 8 a.m, stay there for 2 hours, and then ascend Shaoshishan (using the cable car to start with). I read that the return walk to the peak should take about 6 hours, meaning back in Shaolin at 4 p.m. From there, I was thinking of enjoying a martial art show if time allows, and then head back to Luoyang where my train will leave at 6.20 p.m.
My question is double:
- Is it easy to catch a taxi from Longmen Grottoes to Denffeng, and if yes, how much is a reasonable price?(for a foreigner, I am used to be asked for a little more than Chinese ;) )
- Are there buses from Shaolin back to Luoyang? Where to find them?
If not, I will take a taxi to save time. How much will the ride from Shaolin to Luoyang will cost approximately? I could go back to Dengfen and take a bus to Luoyang, but only if time allows.
