About:Chinese Embassy in Italy

hello,
i'm a student here in italy and would like to go to china for an internship. although my permit of stay expired i have the renewal receipt with which i have been traveling. can i apply for the chinese visa with this? it takes a year to renew permit of stays in italy so i cannot get the new one till later in the year.

Generally speaking, non-Italian applicants should hold residence permit of Italy valid for at least half an year if they want to apply for China visa in Italy. You can contact the China embassy/consulate in Italy to enquire it in order to get an assuring answer.
