I have read that we can buy the train tickets only 10 days ahead of travel time, it mean that I'm not to be sure to have what I want till 1o days in advance ? If I buy trough a travel agency it is the same?

It is the regulations of China National Railway Authority that normally the tickets could be issued 7~10 days prior to the traveling date. If you buy the tickets through the booking agency, they also issue the tickets though the train stations. However, they will buy the tickets at the earliest time for you.
