Greetings,
In attempting to apply for my Chinese visa last week, I was told that I need to get a copy of my hotel booking and flight itinerary.I have asked my contact in Shanghai to book reservations for me at a hotel through her travel agency. I then called the embassy to ask if they just need the general information in writing from me about my reservations or if they would require an official copy from the hotel through me. The lady on the phone from the embassy stated they required an official document. However my contact in Shanghai stated that the travel agency can accept the reservation but generally won't send the official document to customers.
Why would the Chinese embassy require this of me then? What should I do in order secure my chances of acquiring my visa?
