About:Chinese Embassy in India

i'm from india and i'm working in china since 2006 and i have working visa, i just got married now i want to bring my wife to china and wish that she will stay with me here so could you tell me that what should i do for her visa and what kind of visa is good, and can we apply for dependent visa in china because i want that she stay with me for long and i not want some visa problems after every 3-6 months.............

Your wife can apply for dependant visa, the required documents are:
(i) Original passport which has more than 6 months left before it expires from the date of application and sufficient blank visa pages (18 months and more left if intended stay in China is more than one year).

(ii) One completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken passport photo. All the items on the application form should be fully filled in with genuine information;

(iii)Covering letter from applicant.

(iv) "Physical Examination Record for Foreigner" issued by doctors from an Indian state hospital. The photo on the Record should be stamped by the hospital.(Valid for 6 months from issued date)

(v) Photocopy of the personal data page of applicant's passport.

(VI)Phtocopy of your work visa and residence permit on your passport, copy of your passport's data pages, marriage license

Then she can get a Z visa and change it into residence permit at the local exit & enter deparement. She can stay with you for a long time in China

Add on to Steven's response, you are required to furnish Marriage certificate attested by Chinese Consulate in India. Otherwise it will practically difficult to get dependent visa.
