Since you have already booked the flight through China Southern Airlines, they will handle it for you. Visitors from many countries need not a visa if they transit China without leaving the Airport for not more than 24 hours or 48 hours without live the transit city.

I have the same question with Ms.Shpresa. I'm holding Indonesian Passport but living in France. I'll go on holiday to Indonesia. this is my 1st time fly with China Southern and my connecting flight is in 12 hours (Guangzhou). If i want to take a walk, out side the airport, i have to have visa G ?? .. or maybe I can ask for Visa on Arrival. if it's posible.. :D
thanks

yes, you need to apply for China G visa if you plan to leave the airport during the stopover, it is also possible for you to apply for the stay permit at the airport when you arrive.
