About:Visa Policy of China

If I wanted to live in Hangzou being citizen of united states as a retiree, what type of visa I have to grant or and how long to stay,Can I apply for residency.

You can apply for residence visa, however, A permanent residence confirmation form is required. You or your designated relatives in China may obtain this form from the exit-and-entry department of Hangzhou public security bureau. It should be get the approval of the Hangzhou Public security Bureau.
