About:China Train

we are traveling to Beijing on august 17, 2010..from pudong airport we will go directly to shanghai rail station to buy ticket for Beijing train. Is it hard to get a ticket on the same day of travel? Buying ticket online is more expensive. Is mid of August a very busy month for China? are we going to have difficulty in buying tickets on that exact day of our arrival in shanghai? what is the best advise you can give?

Yes, it is very hard since Shanghai- Beijing is one of the busiest routes. In case there are no tickets left when you arrive at the station, you would better buy the tickets in advance. If you do not wanna to buy online, you can ask your friend in Shanghai to purchase it for you.
