1. Your mother can apply for Z visa as dependants because she is the mother-in-law of your husband, generally speaking, the Z visa is single entry, valid for 3 months, holders should get the residence permit within 30 days after entry.
2. the fee is vary according to the place of applcation, if your mother apply for it in KL, Malaysia, the fee for single-entry Z visa is 130 Ringgit, however, you have to apply for it through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Kl, you also have to pay the extra fee 28 Ringgit for the service.

Yes, non-malaysian can apply for visas at their Chinese Embassy. For your second question, I think, you 'd better choose Malaysia, because you can help with her application at your relationship.

thank you very much Ms Linda,

1. As I noticed from Fee Table in Chinese Visa Application Service Center site , is the Foreign citizen applicable for my mother that has no PR or work in Malaysia ?

2. I may want to apply a multiple entry visa valid 1 year with duration stay 6 mths for her. All documents and invitations from the company is completed on hands, which is better options to apply : In Malaysia or Indonesia ?
As I was told it may hard to get in Indonesia, is that bigger chances to get in Malaysia , with her status as a point 1 above ?

kindly reply asap, thank you again
