About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Thanks, but do you know what the price is for the Shenzen Visa when you cross the border from Hong Kong for South African citizens. I ask this, as I know the UK is charged is triple than most nationalities.

The fee is 160RMB for most of aliens. For some nationals, the fee is made according to the reciprocal basis. For example, the US nationals are charged 140 US$ for China visa no matter the entry numberof visa.
