About:China Visa Exemption

Hello, I'm a Hong Kong citizen living in the USA. I have the permit (港澳居民來往內地通行證) for Hong Kong citizens to enter China. Am I allowed to fly direct from USA to Shanghai and enter Shanghai with my permit? Thanks.

Mr.Patrick Tsang, in principal, you should first go to Hong Kong, then enter Shanghai from Hong Kong by holding the Mainland China Entry Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents, however, as I know, many aliens who hold the permit can enter mainland China directly from foreign countries, only a few is refused to enter.
