About:Badaling Great Wall

I plan to take a tour to Beijing with my family. My wife is worry about safety for my 11yrs old & 5 yrs old daughters. Is the Great Wall and other sites children friendly? Is there anything we should be careful of when we go there in July?

Hi,there
If you are going to Badaling, there is no need to worry. As Badaling is the best preserved section of the Great Wall that is tourists friendly. The roads are well paved or you can just use cable car. Take it easy and enjoy~~

By the way, it is very hot in Beijing in July. I remind you to bring enough water there.

Mr. Benz,

We just returned from Badaling w/8 kids ranging from 8-14. Hot but had a great time. There are 2 routes. 1 is easier than the other. Well paved. You can go at your own pace. I took bottles of ice water. Water also sold at location, more expensive as you get closer to entrance.

Thank you for all those who answer my question. I am now back to US. Great Wall was very children friendly and overall my family had a great time and took many memoriable pictures. Everyone must find a time to visit one of world's wonder (Great Wall) to really get the full affect. No pictures can do justices for the awesome constructions by the Chinese. Have Fun!
