Are south african citizens eligible for the Shenzen Special Economic Zone Tourist Visa at the Hong Kong - China border?

yes, it is possible for South Africa citizens to apply for the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Tourist Visa.

Yes, but you should be aware of the duration time.
within 5 days and only in Shenzhen, can't be possible to travel to other cities.
