My family and I plan to arrive from Shanghai by train in the morning and leave for Malaysia at night (Air Asia) from Hangzhou.  Does anyone know if there is a place to deposit luggage at Hangzhou railway station.  Would taking the train from Shanghai be the best way or is there a shuttle bus supplied by Air Asia? Thanks.

I suggest that you take a train to Hangzhou Railway Station in the morning. There is Luggage Center at the railway station. During the daytime, you could visit the city briefly. And then, in the afternoon, just at Hangzhou Railway Station, there is shuttle bus or taxi driving to Hangzhou Airport in 1~1.5 hours.
