About:China Embassy in Thailand

I am a UK citizen currently living with my new Chinese wife inside China for the last 7 months.
I am going to Bangkok from China to renew my L (spousal) visa, as requested by my local PSB who advise they will extend further when returned.
Their appears from these Q&A's to be some question if I am able to renew in Chinese Embassy Bangkok.
Do I need a Thai resident visa to get a renewal China visa or am I ok with my Thai entry visa ?

I think that it is ok for you to use your Thai entry visa to apply for renewal of L visa, the marriage license between you and your wife is helpful for you get a new China visa in Thailand.
