About:Hong Kong Trains - High Speed Rail

Hi,

I just want to know of the best way in going to guangzhou from hongkong via mtr, I mean in terms of cost and time. Is it better if we will ride mtr from hongkong to shenzhen and then shenzhen to guangzhou? or is it best that we will ride directly from hongkong to guangzhou via mtr? Please help.. Thank you

You can get to Hung Hom train station in Kowloon and then take train to Guangzhou East Railway Station directly. It costs 1 hour 45 minutes, 190HKD per person. It is cheaper to go to Shenzhen first and then to Guangzhou, the only problem is you have to make transfer and wait for the trin in Shenzhen Railway Station: take mtr via East Rail from Hung Hom to Lowu. Then walk to Shenzhen (Lowu) Railway Station to catch the train to Guangzhou. It takes one hour from Shenzhen to Guangzhou, 45 minutes from Hung Hom to Lo Wu. The fare is 33HKD by mtr and nearly 80RMB by train to Guangzhou.
