About:China Customs Declaration

I am going to Shanghai to see EXPO, but will bring a Nitendo WII as a gift to a friend's son there. It cost AUD 400. Do I have to declare this at the airport? Is there duty payable for this product at this amount?

Hi,there
According to the regulations, any item that will be left in China whose value exceeds 2,000 CNY should be declared. AUD 400 is a bit more than 2,000 based on the current rate. So you have to declare it.
