About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

Hi,

we read all the posts but are still not 100% sure if it is mandatory to have a Korean Alien Residence Permit to apply for a Chinese tourist visa in South Korea.

So, our basic question is: Does the Chinese embassy (through an agency) issue tourist visas to foreigners in Korea that do NOT have an Alien Residence Permit?

Thanks a lot!

Edwin

p.s. an email address of a Korean designated travel agency who can help us getting a Chinese tourist visa would be very helpful.

Non-Korean applicants should provide Alien Registration Card which entitle them to reside for an extended period of time in the South Korea.

However, the visa regulations vary according to the nationality and position of applicants, as I know, some USA applicants can get the China visa in Seoul even though they only a short-term visitors in Korea. Maybe it is possible for you to get a China visa in korea.
