About:China Visa

Hello there,im filipina married to a japanese,Im holding Philipine passport with permanent visa of Japan.As of now im living in Japan while my husband working in Hongkong whos holding business visa of Hongkong.My husband want me to go Hongkong and stay with him.As far as i know filipino are allowed to stay in Hongkong for 14days, (i been in Hongkong past few years ago and this will be my 2nd time)for 14days of required stay is there any possibilty or chances that i can extend my stay?if theres a chances what would be the requirements needed for application of extension?IF permitted the extension do im allowed to work there also?Please i really need your help and advice...thank you in advance and more power,God bless you.

Generally speaking, the Hong Kong visa can't be extended, you'd better apply for Hong Kong visit visa at the Chinese embassy/consulate in Japan or Philippines. you can't apply for dependant visa because this category visa is issued to the lineal relatives of a person who is a holder of an employment visa (except foreign domestic helpers and imported workers), or a student visa of HK.

The requirements are:
. Passport/travel document with blank pages and a validity of at least 6 months.

2. One completed Hong Kong visa application form affixed with one passport-sized photo.

3. Philippine nationals who desire to stay in HK for more than 14 days, shall present an invitation letter in which the sponsor agrees to provide financial support and accommodation, and one copy of the sponsor's HK ID.
