About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

Hi, I am holding a Chinese passport and this is going to expire this Oct. I am also applying the Canadian citizenship. Do I have to renew my Chinese passport for taking the citizenship test and the ceremony, if I am NOT planning to go back to china or to other country in near future?

Mr.Li, if you want to apply for Renewal of Chinese Passport, you have to show the Document to prove that you have not joined the Canada Nationality to the Chinese embassy/consulate in Canada.

If you can read Chinese, you can see the detailed rules for Chinese passport application rules at China embassy/consulate in Canada on this website http://ca.china-embassy.org/chn/lsfw/zghzlxz/t649257.htm
