About:Suzhou Transportation

If I want to go to Suzhou for one day from Shanghai, would I be able to buy return ticket at Shanghai Rail station. How full would the train be if I just buy the ticket same day or we would have to book the tickets a few days ahead?

Yes, you can buy return ticket at Shanghai Rail Station. No need to book the ticket because there 80 trains every day from Shanghai to Suzhou, many of them are bullet trains.
