Question

I'm an Indonesian. I married to Chinese man 6 months ago. I'm holding Work Visa right now and My visa expire December. I'm planning to renew my visa to marriage visa 4 months before my visa expire. Will that work ?and How many month will i get the visa? some of my friend got 15 year married Visa and some only 1 year visa. Thanks.

Mrs. Zhang, there is not a marriage visa in China. You'd better apply for a new China L visa 1 week before the expiration of your work visa in December. You and your husband can go to the local Exit & Enter Department under Public Security Police Bureau to apply for L visa, the marriage license is very helpful for you to get a L visa valid for 1 year. The L visa is issued to aliens who come to China for sightseeing, visiting family memembers or other private affairs.
