I'll be check out from Shanghai Centralstar Hotel in Renmilu (near Yuyuan) on 16/6/10.How long does it take to reach Shanghai Station if by taxi? What is the safest time for me to leave the hotel in order for me to catch this 7.58am train? I am not familiar with Shanghai Station too as this is my 1st time there. It may take me a while to look for the right entrance, right platform & for the right train no. TQ

It is about 6 kms from the hotel to Shanghai Railway Station, around 15minutes' drive. The cost is about 20RMB or so. You can leave the hotel at 6:30am. The sign in Shanghai Railway Station has English version. It will be not difficult for you to find the right platform.
