About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

I am going for an exchange to Changsha. Since there are no direct flights from Kuala Lumpur, I am planning to take a flight to Guangzhou and take a train to Changsha.

Can I purchase the train ticket online?

How far is it from the airport to the train station?

If my flight arrives at 5pm and the train leaves the station at 10pm, do I have enough time to get there to board the train?

Is there any other economical way for me to get to Changsha besides taking a train?

How much is the ticket if I take the train?

There are flight from Guangzhou Airport to your destination. You can purchase online.

Last train from Guangzhou East is 6:21 p.m., - and last train from the main Guangzhou Railway is 8:55 p.m. You will log-in as a new user and order the ticket online.

Normally I fly in to the Guangzhou Airport from USA. The custom and immigration process take less than 1 hour. From the immigration you will ride the escalator to the ground floor and pickup your luggage. Go directly outside, at the sidewalk turn right and walk to the last bus stop (No. 1)... If the sign says something else, don't panic - take a printed copy of "Guangzhou Raliway Station - Main" in Chinese and show to the Chinese Hostess wearing a yello dress w/shoulder ribbons. Fare is 16 RMB.
