About:Chinese Embassy in India

Hi,
My organization is planning to send me to Shangai, China for a period of six months on F or Z visa. I want my wife to be there after I spend some time there. So, is it possible to apply for her visa along-with me and she can visit China at a later time? If it is, so is it necessary to have the flight details or tickets for applying that visa? This is because her dates of visiting are not finalized yet...

If your organization can help you, you and your wife can apply for China F or Z visa together, for F or Z visa application, the original visa notification letter is required, on the visa notification letter, if your wife is also invited, then she can apply for China visa. Otherwise, she can only apply for tourist visa. For the requirements, fees and method, you can refer to www.visaforchina.in

Thanks for the reply.

I was referring about applying Tourist Visa for my wife. Apologies for creating this confusion.

So, the query that stands now is can she apply for a tourist visa to visit my place in China now for a trip to acutally happen after 3-4 months? And since her dates are not finalised yet, so is it optional to specify the flight details for applying tourist visa in this case?

Thanks.

Mr.Vinay, first, Confirmed return flight ticket and its photocopy is requird when your wife apply for China Tourist Visa, so your wife and you should finalize the departure time, second, generally speaking, the single-entry tourist visa is valid for 3 months, therefore, please apply for a visa about one month in advance of your intended date of entry into China, and do not apply 3 months earlier than your intended date of entry into China. You should take upon yourself any consequences resulting from your failure to submit visa application at an appropriate time, which may lead to either your already-issued visa becoming expired or it would be too late to get a visa before your planned departure date.

Hi!
It is not compulsory to have your flight ticekt details when applying for working visa however other type of visa shall require return tickets.
Your family can get depend visa at the same time. However you should check with consulate for details.
I am based in shanghai and if you need any help let me know.
