Does anyone can tell me do I need personally go to china embassy base in KL to apply my visa to shanghai?Can I hand over my passport to friend in KL and ask him do on my favour?Thanks.

You can ask your friend to apply for China visa on your behalf, however, now, the visa application should be sent to Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC)in KL rather than the China embassy, for more information, please refer to www.visaforchina.org.my
