About:China Customs Declaration

travelling to china on sat via hong kong my wife in china wants me to bring 30 kilos of powdered milk for her family 15 kilos my baggage 15 kilos my sons baggage she says it is common to bring milk into china and says you are allowed to take 20 kilos in does it need to be declared total value is about 1000 rmb if any body can help

According to the regulation, you should declare them when the value of the items you are bring exceed 2000RMB. You are not included. There is no specific rules on the limitation of the amount of power milk that one can take, but it is said that tariff will be charged if it is too much. Check with the staff in the airport when you are there.
